Itinerary
Day 1
Depart Canada
Overnight flight to Beijing’s International Airport.
Day 2
Welcome to Beijing
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, you will be required to clear customs and immigration. After collecting your luggage, proceed to the arrivals area, where a dedicated local representative will greet you with an Air Canada Vacations sign with your name. You will then be escorted to your transfer , which will take you to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure.
Day 3
Beijing: Sightseeing
After breakfast, your tour guide will take you on a half-day city tour, followed by a delicious, traditional Peking Roast Duck lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, you may choose to return to the hotel and enjoy some leisure time or opt to join the Temple of Heaven & Hutong Life Tour ($). This optional experience includes a visit to the UNESCO-listed Temple of Heaven, a remarkable symbol of ancient Chinese culture, followed by an exploration of Beijing’s historic Hutongs aboard a traditional rickshaw. The tour also includes a visit to a local family home for a more personal glimpse into daily life.

Half-day city Tour
Begin the day with a visit to the historic Tiananmen Square, the second-largest public square in the world. Next, explore the Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest, best-preserved imperial palace complexes in existence.

Beijing: Sightseeing
After breakfast, get ready for one of the most anticipated highlights of your journey, a tour of the majestic and awe-inspiring Great Wall of China.
The evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, or you may choose to attend a captivating musical performance, "The Golden Mask Dynasty"($). This large-scale production tells the legendary story of a queen who, adorned with a golden mask, leads the creation of a magnificent dynasty. Featuring eight dramatic chapters and a cast of over 200 performers from China and around the world, this visually stunning show offers a memorable cultural experience.

Great Wall of China tour
Most iconic symbol of China’s rich history. Climb a portion of this magnificent 3,700-mile structure and take in the breathtaking views that stretch across the horizon. As you ascend, be captivated by stunning stone carvings and ancient watchtowers, which wind gracefully along the majestic mountain ranges, enhancing the grandeur of this historical masterpiece. With a picnic-style lunch included, you can fully immerse yourself in the Wall’s timeless beauty at your own pace, soaking in its awe-inspiring scenery. En route to the Great Wall, make a stop at one of Asia’s largest Jade Exhibitions, where you’ll learn about the cultural significance of jade in China.
On the return journey, drive past two architectural marvels, the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, symbols of modern China, built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Beijing: Sightseeing – Shanghai – Suzhou
After breakfast and checking out, your tour guide will escort you to a traditional Chinese health centre for an insightful experience. Following the visit, you will be transferred to the train station for an exciting high-speed train ride to Shanghai, also known as "The Pearl of the Orient.”
Upon arrival at Shanghai’s train station, your local guide will greet you and transfer you to the charming Suzhou, known for its stunning canals and bridges. After checking into your hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure to relax and explore at your own pace.

Hangzhou: Sightseeing – Shanghai
After breakfast and checking out, your tour guide will take you on a scenic boat ride across the serene West Lake, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Following the ride, you'll visit the Dragon Well Tea Plantation, where you can explore the origins of one of China’s most famous teas. Afterward, you'll journey back to Shanghai.
Upon arrival at your hotel in Shanghai, proceed with check-in and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure. Alternatively, you may choose to join a Huangpu River Night Cruise ($) to experience Shanghai’s dazzling skyline illuminated at night. You’ll cruise along the Huangpu River, taking in the charming night views of the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. On one side of the river, you’ll glimpse buildings of Western style dating back to the early 19th century. On the other, you’ll behold a modern, soaring Shanghai built of steel and glass.
